Over the years, we’ve been asked to design and create an array of unique, different, yet wonderful cakes. But when our lovely clients, Ria & Simon met with us, they had one very special request for us. Something that in no doubt has to be one of the most amazing requirements that the ADC team has had the privilege of bringing to life…a baby’s gender reveal!

Ria and Simon wanted to discover their baby’s gender in a memorable way. One that was special and unique to them. So with their wedding approaching, what better way to reveal the baby’s gender than finding out through the cutting of their wedding cake.

Having had a scan a few weeks prior to their wedding day, Ria & Simon asked their consultant to write down their baby’s gender which was later revealed to us, and us alone.

The whole team were giddy with excitement and we couldn’t wait to create such an important aspect of their wedding cake.

Our Lips Were Sealed

Together with our clients, we had designed a three-tier naked cake with drip accents. Adorned with fresh fruit and meringues, with the top tier containing one very special colour sponge which would reveal all.

Our lips were sealed and their secret was strictly kept inside the ADC kitchens!

With the cake complete and set up at their wedding venue, Nonsuch Mansion, all that was left to do was wait and imagine the look on our client’s faces when the wedding cake was finally cut. That special moment when Ria and Simon, and their friends and family, would all discover the gender of their baby…

It’s A Girl! 

We were over the moon with the couple’s reaction to the long-awaited news…it’s a girl! Which was brilliantly captured by their fantastic photographer, Johnny Dent Photography.

It was an absolute honour to be trusted with such a special requirement for our clients. We are so thrilled that their day was a wonderful and memorable success. We wish Ria and Simon so much love, luck and happiness as they begin this new chapter as husband and wife and soon to be parents!
