This week, as everyone is cracking open the mince pies, we are focusing on a more healthier option- Holistic Cakes.

Holistic Nutrition focuses on the health of the entire body and mind, not just parts of the of the body. Taking a more natural approach to your health by using evidence-based techniques for a purer, healthier diet, lifestyle and detoxification. Following a Holistic diet requires eating foods as close to its natural state as possible- unrefined, unprocessed, organic and locally grown whole foods.

The Holistic, or Vegan diet is becoming hugely popular with our clients. It’s not just a fad or trendy lifestyle to adopt. These days we are much more conscious of what we’re consuming and aware of the long-term lifestyle benefits when it comes to looking after our bodies. Simple changes and swaps can have a huge impact on our minds and our bodies as a whole.

So how can I still enjoy cake on a Holistic diet?

Simply swap the bad stuff, for the really really good stuff.

Chocolate Cake with Avocado 

Avocados are often referred to as the healthiest food due to its impressive nutritional value.  By replacing eggs and butter with avocado, to make a delicious vegan cake that friends and family will be asking for more. Avocado is a perfect substitute, creating a silky smooth frosting, a light and fluffy cake, loaded with chocolate flavours and healthy fats.

This grain-free, dairy-free, sugar-free chocolate cake looks just like your typical chocolate cake.  It tastes just as scrummy, but with all the added health benefits of a Vegan diet.

Classic Vanilla Cake 

This vanilla sponge is made with haricot beans, coconut flour, coconut oil and Manuka honey. It is a mouthwatering tasty and is bursting with all the sweetness and fluffiness of a usual vanilla cake.
