Nothing can ever prepare you when losing someone close to you. Life can sure throw in some harsh and unexpected curveballs sometimes. We then spend the rest of our lives wondering why and trying to move forward as best we can. Huge holes are left in our lives.

“Grief is just Love, with no place to go”

Sadly we have recently lost a very close family member. Behind the busy work facade, our hearts are breaking and feeling oh so very heavy. We have been carrying on as best we can as there are people and clients depending on us.  Our work is important to us. It’s been helping us through this dark time, giving us a focus to keep us going each day. Which is why when a team of local fundraisers got in touch about their efforts to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity we were keen to help in any way we can.

We have donated a cake to their raffle which they are holding during their charity raffle in Cheam Park Café this Friday.  They are raising funds for The Royal Marsden and taking part in The Marsden March on Sunday 4th March 2018 in support of the fantastic work they do treating cancer patients, supporting their families and the vital research they carry out towards preventing and treating this terrible disease.

Ann’s Designer Cakes would like to continue to support this cause so we wanted to share more information with our clients, family and friends. We never truly know why the people we love the most are taken from us too soon. We find ways to manage, adapt and muddle together but those holes will always be there. Right in the centre of our hearts.
