Q. When before my wedding should I order my cake?

A. Well that depends on when your Big Day is!! Summer weddings are booked earlier and quicker or sometimes even the previous year orders are placed! But generally a minimum of 3 months for a good quality fruit cake.

Q. When we order our cake, what information do I need to give?

A. The most important thing you need to do is to book the wedding date. The style and décor of the cake is usually decided at a later date when you have chosen your colours and flowers etc.

Q. How do I arrange a consultation?

A. A free consultation is given to discuss your requirements, we discuss design, style and this can be done daytime or evening 7 days a week, due to prior appointment!

Q. Do I need to give a deposit on my booking?

A. Yes, there is a booking fee of £100 this is also non-returnable which will confirm your date. The balance of the cake is then required 3 weeks prior to your Big Day.

Q. How much do wedding cakes cost?

A. An iced finished wedding cake ranges from £380 - £735.00 depending upon style, decoration, and number of tiers required. A chocolate wedding cake ranges from £450 - £995 depending upon style, decoration and number of tiers required.

Q. Do I have to have Fruit cake?

A. No, there is a large variety of cakes to choose from, you can have different flavours for each tier and so on, Ann will advise when booking!

Q. Do I see the finished cake before delivery?

A. Yes, you may view your finished cake 2 days prior to your Big Day.

Q. Can you deliver?

A. Yes we have a nationwide delivery service, we will deliver to your venue and set the cake out as required by our trusted staff, our cakes are never delivered by courier and there is an additional cost depending upon the mileage involved.

Q. Are the cakes boxed?

A. All cakes are boxed whether delivered or collected!

Q. What size cake do I order?

A. We will provide the correct size of cake the correct amount of people/guests. If you would like an extra cake to keep for the future or to provide for more guests, we can also make cutting cakes which are cut from the kitchen and served.

Q. Can you do egg less cakes or other dietary needs?

A. Yes, almost all dietary needs can be catered for.

Q. What are the flowers made from?

A. these are mostly hand made sugar flowers, silk or fresh. Fresh flowers may also be used and provided by your own chosen florist or we can match them for you.

Q. Are there any hidden costs?

A. Our cakes are priced complete with full decoration and sugar flowers. The extra costs are normally delivery costs. Cake stands can be hired at a cost of £15.00 each and require a returnable deposit of £100.

Q. How long will my cake keep?

A. Fruit cake is the best cake if you wish to keep a tier for the future lets say a christening? Or a similar celebration! Sponge cake will keep for approx 5 days after your big day, so hand it out as it will not last until you get back from your Honey Moon!
